New Look wardrobe inspiration

I made a small internal resolution at the start of this year to try to develop a better, less slobbish, personal style. I live in hoodies and leggings, which I love, but seems stuck in Scottish teenager circa 2007. I think I’ve maybe only bought a t-shirt, a jumper and a pair of shoes this year but they are definitely more aligned with the sort of style I want to have.

So I’m always on the look out for inspiration now and New Look has some really nice stuff (old habits die hard I guess) – these are mostly sale items because I hate spending money, and some aren’t available in my size so I will no by no means be buying them. These are more ‘moodboards’.

I’m trying to keep things simple and look for basics that can be mixed and matched.

I think I tend to go for either monochrome or ALL THE COLOURS! A hoodie snuck in there too… oh well.

I actually have this dress in both grey and purple already and jumped at seeing it still being made… I would buy it in every colour imaginable. This black lace version is absolutely gorgeous. Knowing the amount of wear I’ve got out of the other two this dress is probably top of the list as it’s slightly more sophisticated than the other clothes.

Happy to say I have bought the jeans in the first picture set and they’re great. Now I’m starting to clear out all my old clothes it’s so much fun finding what I want to replace them with.
