Afternoon tea at the Old Course
In all my time at St Andrews I’ve unfortunately never before made it to the Old Course hotel for afternoon tea. Probably because it’s £20!
Finally on Sunday, to say goodbye, a close friend and I (horribly underdressed) slobbed along past all the Mercedes and Bentleys in the car park to proper tea, cake and sandwiches.
It was glorious and decadent.
It was held in a beautiful restaurent at the back of the hotel.
They do unlimited refills of their tea. I had Vanilla to start with, which smelled amazing, and my friend had Earl Grey.
The dark chocolate cake was also great.
I really loved the tiny scones with clotted cream and jam. They even had pancakes hidden underneath, what an excellent surprise.
This is the beautiful view across the Links as we headed back.
